Dear Readers:
Isadora Duncan (5/26/1877-9/14/1927) was a popular American dancer with a flamboyant personality. Considered by many to be the creator of modern dance, she combined flowing theatrical dance numbers with classical music composition and believed that music and dance needed to be integrated in the performing arts. She performed to popular acclaim in New York and throughout Europe.
