It occurred to me recently that there are good reasons for keeping a pencil handy to write with when pens can be so awkward, and with damp paper to write on too!
I hope you had a chance to dry out a bit when you were back at the Base, I’ve heard bad things can happen when you can’t get your feet dry after a long time.
