It reminds me of something George McKenzie of Co. K, 101st Inf, 26 YD told me…(he was 102 at the time). Paraphrasing, he said “…we brought our YD patches to Cootie Mary and she sewed them on when we first got them in France. She was doing our sewing and repairs over there”.
You can imagine how she got that name handling all uniforms.
